Join the James A. Michener Art Museum on Saturday, October 19, 2019 to celebrate the Art of Wine-the Museum's signature biennial fundraising event. This extraordinary evening of fine wines, delectable cuisine, and exceptional live and silent auctions brings together more than 200 of the Museum's most devoted patrons and supporters. All of the funds raised through Art of Wine will enable the Michener to continue to enrich lives through outstanding exhibitions and educational programming.

 

The evening will begin with a special Vintners' Reception showcasing premier wineries while guests enjoy exquisite hors d'oeuvres and silent auction bidding. Then, guests will partake in a four-course seated dinner performed by Catering By Design in the award-winning Edgar N. Putman Event Pavilion. A spectacular live auction featuring art, wine, and unique event destination packages will be presented by David Rago and Suzanne Perrault, founding partners of Rago-one of the country's premier auction houses.

 

Tickets for Art of Wine 2019 event are sold out, but you can still be a part of this event by joining us online for our silent auction. Bidding on exciting lots featuring rare vintages, fine art, exclusive experiences, luxury items and more goes live at noon on Friday, October 18, 2019.

Conditions of Purchase

  • The Michener Art Museum is not responsible for the shipment of auction items to winners. Auction items must be picked up at the Michener Art Museum located at 138 S. Pine Street in Doylestown, PA.
  • All wines sold herein are subject to the provisions of Pennsylvania laws related to alcoholic beverages and are offered and sold subject to such laws. Any offer of sale shall be governed and interpreted by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania.
  • All wine is sold as is. Seller does not warrant or respect, expressly denies responsibility for, and in no event shall be responsible or liable for the accuracy of description of the wines offered, or the correctness of the program, including, but not limited to the origin, rarity, age, genuineness, quality, or condition. All statements by seller are merely statements of opinion and are not to be relied upon by prospective purchasers as warranties or representatives of fact. Buyers acknowledge that they have inspected the wines to their satisfaction and bid only as a result of their own inspection and opinion.
  • For Federal income tax purposes, the James A. Michener Art Museum is classified as a tax-exempt corporation under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). Each bidder should consult his or her tax advisor regarding the deductibility for state and Federal income tax purposes.
